Vertigo’s Y: The Last Man was widely acclaimed when it began to be published nearly two decades ago. The series, which won three Eisner awards as well as a Hugo award, has long avoided being a series or film adaptation, but FX didn’t miss the opportunity and acquired the rights to the series. We know the show’s been on the road for almost two years, but the information we’ve learned about it has been pretty little. We finally found out the release date of Y: The Last Man. The series, which begins airing on both Hulu and FX on September 13, looks interesting.
Yorick Brown, who is trying to survive with his monkey in a post-apocalyptic world, and the comic book series Y: The Last Man, which we will watch, were published under the roof of the Comic Dreampublishing house in our country. Y, one of the most successful independent series outside of mainstream business, was created by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. The comic book series ended in 2008 and later inspired numerous dystopian comics. We don’t know how many seasons the 60-issue storyline will be. However, it was announced that the first season would be 10 episodes.
Ben Schnetzeras Yorick Brown (pictured) also stars Diane Lane, Olivia Thirlby and Jess Salgueiro. Eliza Clark and Donnetta Lavinia Gray wrote the screenplay for 10 episodes, which will be directed by seven different directors. I hope that Y, one of vertigo‘s most successful works, will be able to repeat the dystopian sense of adventure he experienced in the comic book in his series. We look forward to the adventures of the last man.
