The DC/WB partnership has had trouble making movies of their characters in a bloody way, but they’re very good at the animated aspect of the business. Aiming for a whole new generation of animation, DC announced the DC League of Super-Pets about three years ago. As the name suggests, Krypto, the most popular super dog, will be the star of the film, in which we will watch the cute helpers of superheroes. When it was first announced, we learned that Krypto would be voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson,and the rest of the cast was a stargate.
Keanu Reeves, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Diego Luna and Natasha Lyonne will serve as voice actors in the film. Of those names, we only know that Kevin Hart will perform Ace the Bathound. The roles of the other actors have not yet been announced. Sharing the cast and the film’s logo on his Instagram account, The Rock said, “Ladies and gentlemen of all ages, it is a real pleasure for me to introduce the DC League of the Super Pets cast. Here’s a team to play our four-legged heroes and enemies.” and made the announcement.
The Lego Batman Moviewill be written and directed by Creator Jared Sternand will also be co-directed by Sam Levine. Super-Pets, which has a release date of May 20, 2022, has managed to create great anticipation even with this voice-over cast alone. I’m hoping there’ll be a Jokerdog in the middle where Mark Hamillwill perform. At least a little cameo will add a different flavour. We’re looking forward to the good news from Super Pets.
