2021 is the 35th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, and fans were particularly excited to see Nintendo make several moves for Super Mario last year. Fans were expecting a series of releases and announcements to celebrate Zelda’s anniversary. Skyward Sword HD is out for switch next month. Since the beginning of the year, however, there have been leaks and rumors that announcements will also be made for switch ports of The Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t desirable. When the series’ producer Eiji Auonuma announced the new The Legend of Zelda at E3 2021 Nintendo Direct yesterday, nintendo announced that it has no specific plans for other Switch games in the series beyond what is currently announced.
