Square Enix is very pleased with the outriders’ performance. Matsuda, the person in charge, said the game was a pleasant surprise for the company because of its high digital sales rate and the number of active users exceeding company expectations.
Square also reported that Microsoft’s decision to roll out the game through Xbox Game Pass worked well.
In mid-May, the company reported that Outriders had more than 3.5 million players in its first month on the market. The figure was based on players around the world, each with an average playing time of over 30 hours
Outriders are available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
