It is well known throughout the industry that Sony has stayed away from the cross-game system. However, Sony has finally broken down the walls and started supporting cross-play in some games on PS. Looks like there’s going to be more of that.
PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan says cross-platform gaming is something Sony is now focused on.
In a recent interview with Axios, Ryan listed a number of games that support cross-play on PlayStation, including Call of Duty, Rocket League, Fortnite, Minecraft, and more, saying, “We support and encourage cross play.” He also said the number of cross-playable games on PlayStation would “continue to grow.”
We are at a point where cross-playing has become standard in multiplayer games in the industry. This means that the number of games that support cross-feature will continue to increase gradually.
