NetherRealm Studios has officially announced that it is disconing its support for Mortal Kombat 11. Mortal Kombat 11, which has had new characters, a fairly large DLC and updates for about two years, will no longer receive updates. The NetherRealm team will begin their new project.
Mortal Kombat 11, which debuted in 2019, is almost impossible to judge with the phrase “left without content”. The series, which is constantly home to highly entertaining characters, also opened the door to iconic names such as Terminator and Spawn during this time. NetherRealm added a DLC that not only limited to the characters, but also continued the story. This new script, titled Aftermath, was also acclaimed by the cast.
So what’s NetherRealm going to do now? That question is hard to answer. The team, which comes up with a new project every two years, broke this cycle for the first time with MK 11.
While rumors are circulating that the next game could be a new Injustice, the fact that Ed Boon has been sharing his Marvel passion on his Twitter account for some time brings something else to mind. Let’s see what surprise NetherRealm has for us.
