Frostpunk was the kind of game that could lead to hair with its difficulty. But it also managed to become a beloved game. Our struggle to keep our society alive in the midst of a seemingly endless winter is preparing to pick up where it left off; 11 Bit Studios announced Frostpunk 2 with a trailer:
Frostpunk 2 now us have a new era ahead of us. Oil was discovered, giving rise to the hope of a new salvation for mankind. But of course, people don’t learn from the past again, they find a way to trouble each other. As we conquer the Frozen Land to extract oil, many problems come with it.
Jakub Stokalski, one of the play’s directors, said they aim to offer a much wider version of the Frotspunk experience. He says a team of about 70 people is working to do this, and they have a wider development team than in the previous game. One thing he specifically underlined is that they want to do more than just a sequel. On the one hand, they intend to develop a game based on the first game and on the other hand offers more.
A release schedule for Frostpunk 2 has not yet been announced. But that doesn’t stop us from adding the game to our watch list right away, does it, dear Gamers?
