Call of Duty continues to fight against cheaters without cutting. Developer Treyarch announced that in his statement, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone the 136 thousand tricker accounts were banned. The developer team noted that the tricks have severely affected the player experience and received new security measures against it. A strict fight against cheaters for 2025 was highlighted.

Home Treyarch also introduced new security systems developed against cheaters. The updated detection models target players, especially using targetbot and other cheating tools. Also, cheaters can be detected more easily through new data points such as account reliability and hardware identifiers.

Home The new system also measures against wrong reporting. In case a player has repeatedly reported another player, only one report is taken into account. In this way, fraud developers are getting into account spam report creation attempts with cheat software. As an interesting detail, other accounts that baned a tricker regularly plays together are also taken to review.

Home Treyarch also announced that IP-based bans are not used. This method does not prefer to influence innocent players connected from the same network. Instead, using more-focused and precise detection methods, only targets tricky accounts.

Call of Duty will further strengthen anti-counterfeiting systems with upcoming Season 2 update. Treyarch will continue fighting cheaters with new server and client-sided detection systems as well as driver updates and encryption enhancements.
