One particular highlight when announcing the PlayStation 5 was that dualsense would us begin a new era of controllers. It was said that we would have a completely different gaming experience with haptic feedback and different trigger sensitivities.
Although it’s only Astro’s PlayRoom that has used these features properly since its release (though now it seems like Returnal has been added to the list, let’s not take credit for it), we’re well used to hearing phrases like “DualSense’s features are being made the most of” when announcing games that will be released to PS5, as if it’s become an important part of the promotion of games. Now there are claims that color options are also on the way to increase the appeal.
New DualSense versions will be announced soon with red-black and black-gray pairs, AreaJugones claims. The site bases the claim on its sources within Sony. Given that they have previously shared games with PS Plus in advance, this claim also seems to be taken seriously. But there’s no visuals.
In fact, there were claims to this even before the PS5 debuted, with alternatives mentioned for both the console and its controller, DualSense. Therefore, it would not be surprising to see an announcement in this direction. We’ll wait for Sony’s announcement to see what colours it comes in.
