Steam Winter Discounts started last week. Maybe there are some of you who’ve already completed the shopping. But we still wanted to make this period without a list, we made lists for you. The first of our list of recommendations consists of games that can be purchased for 5 TL or less. We actually found over 50 games that could make this list, but as you can appreciate, it wasn’t possible to write them all down. So we decided to share 20 of them with you. There are many different types of games available, let’s see which of them you are interested in.
Bladed Fury
It’s one of the relatively recent games on the list. The visual style and music of the game, which chooses Chinese history and mythology as its theme, manages to successfully convey this theme to the player. As a 2D action game, it doesn’t perform badly either. Especially considering that it has fallen below 5 TL with a 75% discount, it is an opportunity that can be evaluated.
Pinstripe
One of the games we mentioned earlier is Pinstripe. Thomas Brush is slipping his arms and developing a game on his own. After 5 years of effort, Pinstripe emerges. Stories Untold
One of the most important advantages of independent games is that they are more comfortable with trying something new. Stories Untold is one of the examples in this respect. This adventure game tells a tense story; it actually borrows gameplay mechanics from different genres, which blends beautifully in four different sections. It’s up to us to give him a chance.
Spelunky
About 10 or 15 years ago, a succession of beautiful, interesting platform games started to come, and a new trend was opened. One of the great examples of that series was Spelunky, which came out in 2013. As a matter of fact, thanks to his success, he also got a sequel about 7 years after his release. Meanwhile, the fact that an update has been released for the first game in recent months can be interpreted as a sign of how passionate developers are with their games. It is also enjoyable to play such passionate games, you can experience it in person.
Magicka
If you’re interested in Nors Mythology, Magicka is one of the games that might catch your attention. The story of a good magician trying to stop the evil wizard may sound clichéd at first, but with his playful language, it can be said that it is a game that can manage to eliminate this anxiety. If you wish, it is also possible to play together with your friends and fold the pleasure.
FRAMED Collection
Another puzzle game we’ve listed. We’re trying to rearrange the images in the pages of a comic book and figure out how this espionage story is progressing. This again offers a pleasant gaming experience. You might like the Noir style, too.
FTL: Faster Than Light
We’re going back about 10 years ago, when independent games were taking the storm. FTL: Faster Than Light invited us on an adventure to save the galaxy on randomly generated maps with our ship and the crew of our ship. This game is one of the examples that can be looked at to understand what is missing. Don’t look at it as old as it is, it deserves a chance.
Gods Remastered
There are some games that have been in your mind in your childhood, you have loved them very much, you will be happy when you remember. And if that game comes up again years later, your happiness will endure. Gods is one of the games in this group for me. Maybe there’ll be people who think about what you like about this game; But when we saw a game like this 30 years ago, not only did we see it, but when we did, you can imagine how we felt, how happy we were, 🙂 Let’s see what kind of experience platform games offer players in time.
The Curse of Monkey Island
Every time I look at these games, I wonder how many people play LucasArts adventure games and don’t like them:) Monkey Island was one of the most remembered series in the ’90s. Our clumsy pirate Guybrush and his endearing Elaine engaged in a long-term struggle with their arch-enemy LeChuck and gave us a very enjoyable adventure, the taste is still on my palate 🙂 Game 3 of the series, The Curse of Monkey Island, offers one of the best examples of those periods, so I recommend it with peace of mind. Tales of Monkey Island – Complete Season
Since we’re talking about the Monkey Island series, let’s not forget Tales of Monkey Island. Telltale Games has signed with many brands and made their games; But not all of this has succeeded, unfortunately. Tales of Monkey Island was one example of how they did it well. Monkey Island series offers us a 5-part adventure with its usual humorous structure, colorful characters and delightful storyline.
Beat Cop
It’s a classic police movie story. The ex-cop who was charged with murder is trying to prove his innocence. The adventure, which we try to help our hero Jack Kelly by scharging the streets of Brooklyn with pixel-by-pixel graphics, also features humorous details that will bring smiles to our faces.
1979 Revolution: Black Friday
The Iranian Revolution is undoubtedly one of the historical events that affected not only our region, but the whole world. To date, it has been the subject of many books, films, series. But if we tried to talk about the productions that were directly mentioned in the game world, we wouldn’t think of many examples. Through the eyes of a photographer, we experienced the course of the revolution step by step, and information about the revolutionary period was also shared through some of the images used in the game. If you like games where historical issues are realistically addressed, the 1979 Revolution is one of the games you can give a chance to.
Swaps and Traps
We’re already making such a list, let’s not forget our domestic games. Swaps and Traps is a delightful puzzle-platformer with the color it adds to the job. Our hero, Murat, is going after his sworn enemy, Delidöner. On the one hand, we have to deal with all kinds of traps and on the other hand, the rotating screen. It’s one of those games that’s undervalued. I’d like to take this opportunity to say give it a shot.
Bastion
Supergiant Games; a developer who has managed to win the appreciation of gamers with every game they have ever made. They crowned this performance with Hades and confirmed in a sense what an important company they have become. That was the beginning of the process with Bastion. The colorful and engaging graphics that have become a kind of fingerprint of Supergiant, the beautiful music that accompanies these graphics, and most importantly, the enjoyable gameplay are also features that can be used to describe Bastion. It’s hard to stop playing one game and not playing the others, so let me warn you from the start:)
Don’t Starve
If we’ve praised Supergiant Games, don’t let Klei Entertainment be 🙂 Now let me count a few games for you, you decide if I’m right or wrong: Mark of the Ninja, Oxygen Not Included, Invisible, Inc. and Griftlands. Klei, who has such a beautiful list, stole dozens of hours with Don’t Starve 🙂 I don’t know what to say about the beauty of the graphic style, the struggle to keep our hero alive, the warmth of the nest we raised step by step, the creatures that crush your character as if you were avenging the insects you crushed with a stick, or our character who was waiting for the opportunity to die of starvation, cold, disease and other causes. But I do know one thing: That’s where this game is very enjoyable.
Sid Meier;s Civilization III Complete Edition
Those like me who have a long history with strategy games already write Civilization 3 blindly on the list of games they play the most. Even though it’s been 20 years, it’s not worth anything. One of the greatest strategy games of all time, Civ 3; While it’s being sold for as little as $2.50, I’d say you guys play.
