The Crystal Pixel Video Game Awards, held since 2012 to identify and reward games with original intellectual property developed in Turkey, met with the owners for the 10th time this year.
Crystal Pixel 2021 was organized in partnership with Turkish Game Developers Association (TOGED), T.C. Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Copyrights, Yildiz Technical University, YTU Yıldız TEKNOPARK, Hacettepe University, Hacettepe Teknokent, Bahçeşehir University Game Laboratory (BUG Lab), METU TEKNOKENT Animation Technologies and Game Development Center (ATOM), The Game Circle and METU GATES.
Mayhem Brawler, developed by Hero Concept, won the Best PC Game and Best Console Game awards as well as the Award for Best Visual Art at the ceremony, which was awarded in 11 different disciplines. The beat’em Up game, which brought the arcade style of the 90s to the present day, took this success to the top with the Game of the Year award at the end of the evening.
The Best Mobile Game award went to Basketball Arena , which Masomo developed. The company, which has achieved great success in the mobile market with its Head Ball game, brings the competition and fun of the 1-on-1 competition to the basketball courts with its new game.
The winner of the Best VR Game award was Naau: The Lost Eye , which blends the types of action, adventures and puzzles developed by Studio Gamebit with physics-based mechanics.
