Bandai Namco has released a new trailer to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the .hack series. The first game in the series, .hack//Infection, was released for the PlayStation 2 in Japan on June 20, 2002 (20 years ago right today).
Bandai Namco will release a variety of content for its 20th anniversary:
– .20th Anniversary Book: Release Date: July 19, 2022: This anniversary book covers the entire 20-year .hack, including .hack//Infection Vol.1, the first game on PS2.
– Commemorative Book: .hack//20th Game Art Works: Release Date: December 2022
– Commemorative CD: .hack//20th Best: Release Date: December 2022
– A total of three volumes, all to be published on the same date.
Bandai Namco, on the other hand, recently acquired the naming rights to “Last Recollection”. This step means that a collection of the first four .hack games will be released. The last four .hack games are already available for PC via PlayStation 4, Switch, and Steam.
