Publisher Chucklefish and developer Pixpi have released a 25-minute gameplay video for Eastward, an adventure RPG game inspired by 90s anime.

In the near future, the collapse of society has begun and the human population is declining to an all-time low. As the world crunks, a hardworking miner named John finds a young girl named Sam in a secret facility underground. After escaping town, the couple embark on an emotional journey to discover Sam’s origins and the mystery behind the evil creatures that descend on local towns.
Inspired by 90s Japanese anime, Eastward’s world is brought together using innovative modern 3D lighting techniques and retro pixel art that reflects emotions.
Eastward will be available for PC via Switch and Steam in 2021.
