It was a strategy game that came out in 1999, Pharaoh, on the eve of the millennium. On the one hand, caesar and I continued to build Roman cities without slowing down, and on the other hand, we were trying to present the beautiful examples of Egyptian civilization with Pharaoh (and his supplementary package Cleopatra).
At that time, such city building games were very popular. But over time, they lost that popularity. More than 20 years later, Pharaoh is set to return to the field. The original game remake, Pharaoh: A New Era, was announced last year. He’s been quiet for a while, reminding me of himself with a new promotional video.
Triskell Interactive and Dotemu made a video comparing the original game to the remake, and when they liked what they saw, they wanted to share it with us 🙂 The video shows how the game evolved over time. Don’t you think our city dwellers look adorable?
Pharaoh: A New Era includes the main game and the additional pack Cleopatra. Therefore, it promises tens of hours of gameplay with 53 missions and alternative modes. We look forward to meeting the old friend and building cities on the banks of the Nile.
