Activision has announced the acquisition of mobile gaming studio Digital Legends for an undisclosed sum.
The Barcelona-based developer is known for mobile games such as The Respawnables and Afterpulse.
The new studio will focus on “a new mobile game not announced in the Call of Duty universe”, which is already under development at studios Solid State, Beenox and Activision Shanghai.
Activision’s chief mobile officer, Chris Plummer, said in a statement that Digital Legends has already collaborated with the company “for most of this year.”
