The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct and discrimination in Activision Blizzard. The SEC’s investigation into Activision Blizzard, a government agency tasked with protecting investors, will be a wide-ranging investigation, including studio responses to these allegations of abuse and discrimination and the measures it has taken.
As part of the investigation, a leadership team, including CEO Bobby Kotick, was also presented with court summons documents.
The SEC has also requested documents from board meetings that Activision Blizzard has held since 2019, so that conversations between Activision Blizzard executives against the allegations will also be reviewed.
In July, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing filed a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard.
