Activision announced that Modern Warfare 2 will deliver the most advanced experience in franchise history. Modern Warfare 2 will be released later this year, as revealed in Activision Blizzard’s first quarter financial results.
The team reported that development of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 began earlier this year, in February. It also confirmed that it was developed using a brand new game engine.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be a sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which debuted in 2019, and will be available to players later this year. It has not yet been announced which platforms it will debut on.
CoD: Warzone 2, meanwhile, is expected to be announced later this year. Both games are being developed by Infinity Ward.
