Toys for Bob, which has faced gamers in recent years with successful works such as Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, has come under fire in recent days amid allegations of layoffs.
Toys for Bob postedon its Twitter account that the studio is in season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone. It has been announced that he is preparing to contribute to the season. Afterwards, Raven Software replied, “We are pleased to see you in our project.”
Now, when we consider the two issues together (layoffs and the appointment of the Toys for Bob team at CoD: Warzone), the situation is better understood. Activision, ; Why bother with other series when there’s a golden egg-laying chicken like Call of Duty? In his head, he even bought a studio like Toys for Bob and included it in the CoD team.
I don’t know what you’re going to think, but it’s sad for me. I’d rather Toys for Bob moved on with the kind of games he knew than deal with CoD. At least it’s a consolation that they didn’t shut down the studio completely. Who knows, maybe they’ll go back to Crash games in the future. But given the names that have recently left the studio, that possibility seems to be fading. If things go that way, it looks like another studio is going to be wiped out step by step, and I hope that doesn’t happen.
