Microsoft is working on a new night mode feature for Xbox controllers and consoles. With the night mode feature that is being tested with the Xbox Insiders program; It allows Xbox owners to adjust their screens, controller LED brightness, and even the brightness of the Xbox power button. This update, which is expected to be officially available soon, is still only being tested on the Xbox Insiders program.
Adding night mode to Xbox controllers and consoles
With the night mode feature to be added, you’ll be able to make many personalizations, including different dimming levels and an optional blue light filter. In addition, the white LED light on the Xbox controllers at night can be quite bright and distracting and even disturb your eyes. With the new night mode feature, Xbox owners who are uncomfortable with this light will be able to adjust the brightness of the LED light on their controllers as they wish and continue their gameplay.
Night mode also allows you to turn off or off the power button on your Xbox console, while you’ll be able to automatically command your console to turn night mode on/off after a certain time and keep HDR off while the system is in night mode. It is still in testing with the Xbox Insiders program and is expected to be officially released in the coming weeks. You can also find the video shared by Tom Warren, promoting night mode, below.
