Let’s just say we’ve been sleeping with alan wake news for the last week. Finally, he appeared on last night’s show with a trailer, and his release date was officially announced. This time, our story isn’t directly about Alan Wake Remastered, but about the allegations about what might have been a precursor to what he might have been.
Jeff Grubb of GamesBeat recently shared his feelings about Alan Wake and made some of the allegations. “They plan to make a sequel to Alan Wake,” Remastered said in a post after it wasannounced. It’s something I’ve talked about before… With Epic Games, they are working on the development of Alan Wake 2, or at least in the planning stages. Will this project happen? I think it will be.”
Grubb said: “I’m not going to “Remedyis quite busy. Therefore, we should not expect a new game in the near term. On the other hand, with Alan Wake Remastered, they are back in the series and saying, ‘This is one of our important game brands, we want to remind gamers of the brand once again’.
We don’t know what games are included in the deal between Remedy and Epic Games, but the first thing that comes to mind is Alan Wake. Grubb’s claim is that Alan Wake 2 is one of those games.
As Grubb said, we’re wondering if a new Alan Wake game announcement will come or not. Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake said he wanted to do a sequel. I hope they revive the series with a good sequel. We’re on it.
