Remedy made the expected announcement and officially announced a remastered version of the cult classic 2010 game Alan Wake;
This remaster version will be released for PCs and consoles in the fall of this year. The game released by Epic Games will include images upgraded to 4K resolution and new reviews from sam lake, the game’s creative director, in addition to the original game and two expansion packs.
As we predicted, the address of the PC version of the game will be the Epic Games Store. In addition to PC, the game will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and also means that Alan Wake will be meeting with PlayStation consoles for the first time.
Remedy made the announcement in a nice gesture, in an open letter posted on fan site Sudden Stop. “The remaster version came because of your years of support for Alan Wake. That’s why we thought it would be appropriate to make this announcement on The Sudden Stop, an indispensable part of the Remedy community since 2012,” the studio says.
The game will offer an experience that is completely faithful to the original. But all visuals and cinematics, including the Alan Wake character model, will be overhauled.
Now we’re going to wait to see what Remedy means by autumn.
