Amazon Games director quits firm after 9 years
Michael Frazzini announced his departure from the firm with the following words:
“While it’s impossible to find the best time to leave a great role, I’d say now is at least a good time. In the last 6 months, we have managed to launch 2 very successful games and strengthened our hand with the games that are on the way.”
Michael Frazzini was head of the firm’s book division before being appointed head of Amazon’s newly created gaming studio in 2009. Amazon’s gaming studio canceled several projects until it arrived in New World and Lost Ark.
The most well-known of these was the cancelled Lord of the Rings MMO and their Overwatch-like game Crucible, which was closed shortly after its release.
New World’s release made Amazon a big splash, but the game then went down. But their otherMO, Lost Ark, still hasn’t lost much of its popularity.
