Amazon Prime is reportedly in negotiations with Sony for a TV series based on the popular PlayStation series God of War. The series will be adapted by The Expanse creators and executive producers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby and The Wheel of Time executive producer Rafe Judkins. Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions are also reported to be working on the production.
On the other hand, tv adaptations of many games continue to be made today. The HBO TV series The Last of Us is currently in production and stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
Apart from The Last of Us, Netflix’s Resident Evil is currently in production. In addition, twisted metal, featuring Anthony Mackie, was acquired by NBC’s broadcasting platform Peacock.
