The New World Europe server has reopened. Following their New World updatein early November, Amazon sent a hefty amount of gold to players to compensate for the loss of players who lost out due to in-game taxes. However, it seems that the amount they sent was slightly overburdened, with players who lost gold being paid up to $300,000.
New World Europe server reset after faulty gold donation
Of course, the players who were drowned in gold decided to spend their money and bought a large amount of items from the game’s “Trading Post”. The New World developer, nicknamed Lane, who posted a statement on the New World forums, said the only solution they had left was to lure the servers back to where they were before the gold donation.
Although the servers have been turned back on, trading post, where players spend their money, seems to be out of order for some time. Lane attributes this to the longer-than-expected time it took to update the Trading Post’s database. According to Lane, when the database is fully updated, a small restart will suffice instead of an update to adapt it to the game.
Lucky players who have experienced short-term wealth may be experiencing a little disappointment right now.
