AMD has officially announced version 2.0 of its technology FSR (AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution), which rivals Nvidia DLSS. AMD also released a video showing FSR 2.0 technology in the case of Deathloop.
AMD says FSR 2.0 isn’t just an update, it’s built from scratch to deliver natural image quality, even better results, and increase FPS in supported games. FSR 2.0 does not use machine learning and supports a large number of GPUs. So just like FSR 1.0, FSR 2.0 will work on Nvidia and Intel hardware.
One of the first games to support FSR 2.0 was Arkane Studios and Bethesda’s Deathloop. You can watch the promotional videos below:
