Retro Games Ltd, the creator of the C64 Mini, will soon be appearing with the A500 Mini, a mini console based on the Commodore Amiga 500. The console’s release date was announced as March 25, 2022, and a full list of the 25 games to be included on the device was also shared.
The Amiga 500 Mini sells for $140. Actually, I was thinking about buying it when it was first announced, but at the time, it was $8.6, just four months ago. Now it’s at an untouchable price, unfortunately.
No mice or gamepads will be provided with the console, but these two will be sold separately. They were inspired by the Amiga CD32 controller on the Gamepad.
The 25 games in the system are as follows (I made the colors of the previously announced 12 games red)
- Alien Breed 3D
- Alien Breed: Special Edition ’92
- Another World
- Arcade Pool
- ATR: All Terrain Racing
- Battle Chess
- Cadaver
- California Games
- The Chaos Engine
- Dragons Breath
- F-16 Combat Pilot
- Kick Off 2
- The Lost Patrol
- Paradroid 90
- Pinball Dreams
- Project-X: Special Edition ’93
- Qwak
- The Sentinel
- Simon the Sorcerer
- Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe
- Stunt Car Racer
- Super Cars II
- Titus the Fox
- Worms: The Director’s Cut
- Zool
Obviously I expected at least one Cannon Fodder, Superfrog, Wings, North &south, Shadow of the Beast to be on this list, I must say I was surprised by the games chosen to replace them. Fortunately, the system is supported by WHDLoad, so you’ll be able to install and play any game you want.
