Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment announced the release of Apex Legends on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, along with the Warriors Collection Event. Apex Legends was first released for PC via PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Origin in February 2019, followed by Steam in November 2020 and Switch in March 2021.

– 60 hertz gameplay (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S)
– HDR (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S)
– Higher resolution maps (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X)
– Wider LOD distances (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X)

To download the game on PS5 consoles:
– On PlayStation 5 consoles, first go to apex legends’ game page.
– Press the “Options” button next to “Play Games”.
– Press the “Select Version” button and click PlayStation 5 to download the updated next generation version.
– Once the download is complete, go to the game library to delete the PlayStation 4 version.
– Press the “Options” button next to “Play Games”.
– Press the “Select Version” button and click PlayStation 5 to download the updated next generation version.
– Once the download is complete, go to the game library to delete the PlayStation 4 version.
To download the next generation version on Xbox consoles:
Apex Legends is automatically upgraded to the next generation on Xbox consoles. It does not require any additional steps.
