Publisher Microids and developer Pastagames have announced that Arkanoid: Eternal Battle will be released digitally for PC on October 27 via PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and Steam, and physically for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on November 8. The game currently has a demo for PC available on Steam.
The description of the game is as follows:
Arkanoid is an iconic arcade game developed by TAITO Corporation in 1986. When the mothership Arkanoid is attacked, the small spacecraft Vaus manages to escape. But it makes its way to another dimension. Navigating an interdimensional maze, Vaus must destroy blocks called “space walls” to defeat the labyrinth’s creator, “DOH.”
In Arkanoid: Eternal Battle, players will experience and explore a completely modernized version of the classic block-breaking game. Arkanoid: Eternal Battle will have single and multiplayer modes that will be detailed at a later date. In addition to the classic elements, there will be new effects, bonuses and features that are guaranteed to surprise experienced players.
