Assassin’s Creed series has been going on for a long time and is the most famous game series of Ubisoft. The franchise looks like it’s going to make some big changes soon.
The new Assassin’s Creed game, reportedly named Infinity, will be a live service game, although it is not free to play. It will be a different experience for players to see which way the series will go in the future. After all these developments, it was announced that a familiar face would return to the company.
Earlier this year, Darby McDevitt, The Franchise’s Lead Writer and Director of Story, announced his departure from Ubisoft. He left Ubisoft in March to embark on a “new adventure.” McDevitt helped create a variety of stories for Revelations, Black Flag, Unity, Origins and Valhalla, and has since served as an important Story Director. The breakup was short-lived and he re-joined the team, VGC reported.
It’s not yet clear what role McDevitt will play in assassin’s creed’s new game, which is under development. But it will most likely be included in the story side of the production, as it has been in the past.
