ASUS Announces NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Series Graphics Cards

 

 

ASUS has announced five new versions of its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics cards. The new models will bring the NVIDIA Ampere architecture to an even wider audience. Featuring 8GB of VRAM, robust cooling and exceptional durability, the new ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 8GB and ASUS Phoenix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB are ready to power gaming systems anywhere in the world.

 

The GeForce RTX 3050 is the first 50-class desktop graphics processor designed to power the latest games using ray tracing technology at over 60 fps. The RTX 3050 features 2nd generation RT cores for ray tracing technology and 3rd generation Tensor cores for DLSS and artificial intelligence. Ray tracing technology has become the new standard in games and will be able to reach more people than ever before with the RTX 3050.

The aggressive-looking front cover protects the 2.7-slot cooling block, which is designed to remove heat from the graphics processor’s hotspots. The base plate transmits the heat from the graphics processor to the cooling block through the MaxContact process. This feature increases contact with the graphics processor chip, allowing heat to be transmitted more efficiently through cooling pipes to the upper wings. The base plate also covers the card’s GDDR6 memory modules, allowing them to operate at optimal temperatures.

 

Three fans with nine wings and Axis Technology provide continuous airflow to the fins with large surface area, allowing the graphics processor to maintain its superior performance throughout the gaming marathon. To reduce turbulence and focus airflow on heat-generating components, the fans on the side rotate counterclockwise. The ventilated backplate also plays an important role in the cooling process. This plate allows the hot air in the cooling block to be easily directed to the natural airflow of the case. A pair of FanConnect II headers also allows users to operate their chassis fans according to the load of the graphics processor. This ensures the cooling performance needed during the game. When the video card is idle or under low load, the fans switch to 0 dB mode and the card operates silently.

 

ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 has been completely redesigned to maintain high long-term performance. Highly durable SAP II capacitors, premium coils and MOSFETs are ready to withstand heavy loads.
