Publisher Atari and developer illogika have announced Atari Mania, a collection of 150 micro-games. The games in the collection are included in Atari classics published in the 1970s and 1980s. Atari Mania debuts for PC via Switch, Atari VCS, and Steam this summer.
Atari CEO Wade Rosen said in a press release: “As we celebrate Atari’s 50th anniversary, Atari Mania will present fans with their favorite Atari games and characters. Players will re-engage with Atari games and characters.
Atari Mania will present the classics featured in Atari. We celebrate with you a wonderful history of fifty years.”
In Atari Mania, you’ll take on the role of the Keeper of the Atari Vault, tasked with owning retro Atari games. One night, a dead pixel appears, and before long, strange things start happening! As you adventure along the way, you’ll witness familiar and beloved games distorting and mutating.
