PlatinumGames; latest game Babylon;s Fall continues its failures at full speed. In the past week, the number of simultaneous players in the game has dropped to 1 at one point. So it’s as if almost all players have given up on the game, which is already low in sales, and in steam, one player played Babylon;s Fall alone.
The highest number of simultaneous players the game had already reached was around 1000, and this number has gradually decreased. In fact, last month, Engin reported that the number of players had dropped below 10; Babylon;s Fall is starting to look for candles even then, so it’s close to forgetting the name of the game.
Interestingly, Square Enix and PlatinumGames still say they have “no intention of backing down on the game’s planned content.” I mean, the plans for the upcoming seasons are already done, but what good would it do if there was a new season after there were no players to play them?
It seems to me that at some point the game will come to Game Pass and try to increase the number of active players in this way. It doesn’t make sense to spend so much time on a game that wouldn’t otherwise be played.
