Developer Turtle Rock Studios has announced that the upcoming co-op zombie shooter Game Back 4 Blood will require players to be online at all times.
Verification came through the company’s Twitch account. When asked if Back 4 Blood would be played offline, Turtle Rock confirmed that was not possible. “We are exploring ways in the future where we can support the game offline. However, you will need an internet connection to play at the launch.”
The game will receive a pair of betas in August. So players can test the game. Back 4 Blood will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 12. It will also be on Game Pass on the first day.
