In early 2005, Namco decided to merge with Bandai, resulting in Bandai Namco Holdings. In 2006, the acquisition was officially completed and the conglomerate’s video game operations began to be run under the name Namco Bandai Games. In 2014, Namco Bandai Games and Namco Bandai Studios came together under the name Bandai Namco.
Bandai Namco has been engraved in our memories for years with its yellow and red logo representing this merger. These two come together and we see bandai namco on the orange background in the logo. Or rather, we were. Because Bandai namco decided to change his logo. They didn’t use the old colors in the new logo:
The new logo only includes the words Bandai Namco in black writing in a pink speech bubble. This is an example of the minimalistic logos that companies have adopted recently. Maybe if they kept the yellow and red colors in some way, it would be more suited to the brand identity, but the interpretation of this should be left to the graphic designers.
