Battlefield 2042, the new game in the long-running series 6, has finally been announced. In fact, EA Games shared the first information about the next generation of Battlefield game in new graphics engine testing at its EA Play event last year. This presentation, which goes mostly through the graphics engine, of course, is not an official announcement, so we are waiting for a special announcement about the game. Following the leaks, EA Games announced Battlefield 2042 at the time it had previously indicated, that is, in the minutes that followed.
Battlefield 2042 first video released
In fact, we mentioned in our previous reports that the game may not be called Battlefield 6. That’s because EA Games avoided using the number 6 in its short teaser video for the announcement date, and only featured the main logo of the series. With the official announcement, we also learned that the full name of the game is Battlefield 2042.
The game is set in the future, as revealed in previous leaks. The game will not be a story mode, but its theme is a scenario facing America and Russia. We’re going to lead an elite military unit, and we’re going to have some superpowers. The game, which is about to break out in a new World War II, has support for 128 players in multiplayer modes. Here’s some highlights from the game:
- The game’s multiplayer maps will feature many locations in scenario mode. In the first place, there will be seven maps, including regions such as a desert in Seoul and Egypt.
- There will be storms like dynamic weather changes and tornadoes
- Multiplayer mode will feature weapon customization and different munitions
- As we are familiar with from the series, we will be able to use vehicles such as ATVs, helicopters and Jets
- We’ll be able to control a robot dog.
- We’ll have equipment like wingsuits, parachutes and hooks that allow us to climb high places.
- Gameplay video will be released on June 13
- Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021
