Battlefield 2042 is a good sales performance, but its ratings from the player and press are not encouraging. With only a 34% positive average on Steam; 59,000 votes, the game did not get the grades it expected in Metacritic and Opencritic.
Battlefield 2042 has an Xbox Series average of 64, the PS5 version has a 68, and the PC version has a 71 GPA. Opencritic averages 66 in 104 reviews.
Battlefield 5 had the lowest rating on PS4; 73; and the PC average was 81. Battlefield Hardline, which is not one of the main series games, had a GPA of 71 to 73.
All this data means that Battlefield 2042 is the most unsuccessful game to date among the main series games. In fact, his GPA competes with Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield Play4Free.
After these results, we’ll see next year whether DICE and EA will adopt a different path in the main series, or if they will continue to ignore criticism that we’re selling anyway.
