Producer DICE has announced that they have suspended development for the Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone mode. DICE, which could not evaluate the positive impact it created after Battlefield 1 in the sequels of the series, made a very painful debut in Battlefield 2042, its newest game that could not meet the expectations of the players.
The developers, who struggled with low player numbers and bad review scores, as well as the game’s bugs, seemed to be able to win back a certain player base with the updates they brought in the continuation of the process.
Will Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone mode still be playable?
With the release of Battlefield 2042 in November 2021, Hazard Zone was one of the first modes to welcome players . In the game mode, which can be played in teams of 4 as PvP or PvE, players are responsible for collecting important data from downed satellites. DICE reported in a blog post that they will not continue to improve the Hazard Zone and are focused on fixing the mod’s bugs.
DICE: “As a team, we were very hopeful and ambitious for a new Battlefield experience. Unfortunately, we’re also the ones who have to raise our hands and admit that the mode didn’t adapt in Battlefield 2042. If we focus our energy and focus on the game modes that we see loved, we think everyone will be profitable.” Nevertheless, Hazard Zone will not be included in the first and sequel season listings, which will start in June 2022 after a fairly long postponement.
