“If you look at the DNA of the studio and what we’ve been doing for so long, you’ll see. That’s why we didn’t want to focus on how a script works in the game. We used all this scenario emphasis and all these resources to add depth to multiplayer modes. Because that’s what we do best,” Berlin said, stressing that Battlefield 2042 will have a woven narrative in its multiplayer world, with stories told through the eyes of expert characters.
“With live service and special season content, we’ll introduce new experts in the game and see how the world evolves through the eyes of the experts we have,” he said. Yes, the game will have expert characters, as in Rainbow Six, and although the focus is on multiplayer modes, we will be able to see the storyplay through these experts. Of course, there will be many different things going on in the game. Berlin referred to this issue as “there are other experiences in the game that we can’t talk about, that we are very excited about.”
