Battlefield 2042 producer Dice addressed the new reporting system added to the game in a blog post today. According to the post, Battlefield 2042 will not let players who use cheats open their eyes. Battlefield 2042 cheats were dropped last month. This seems to have prompted DICE to take even tougher measures.
Battlefield 2042 will ban cheaters without mercy
Dice said a zero-tolerance and instant ban policy against cheaters would be implemented. “When it comes to cheating, there will be no pre-warning or penalty reprieve. Those who don’t follow the rules are out,” Dice said, adding that he plans to keep an eye out for players who cheat with Easy-Anti Cheat, which EA also uses in Apex Legends (and is owned by Epic Games).
Because Battlefield can be played simultaneously across different platforms, a player banned for cheating will be banned for life. In fact, a player who is punished for cheating will never be able to play the game again on Xbox, PC or any other platform.
Apart from 0 tolerance to cheating, Dice is adding systems to BF 2042 that will make it easier for players to report to others. Players can be reported for the following reasons:
-Chatte disrespect
-Disrespect in voice speech
-Use of cheating
-Sabotaging other players
-Inappropriate character name
-Harassment
When players want to report someone else, they will be able to add notes below their report if the options are not sufficient.
