The Hazard Zone game mode, which has not yet been introduced in detail by DICE, was inspired by Battlestate Games; in FPS;
In Escape from Tarkov, players were assigned an evacuation point on the other side of the map, and players were fighting against other players and artificial intelligence, trying to reach this point and escape with the loot they had collected.
In Hazard Zone mode, you will similarly try to reach evacuation points without losing loot, in the meantime you will collide with other players.
Once you reach this point, you will be able to store everything you collect for subsequent matches or sell other players. If you die during a game, you lose everything. But if you buy Loadout Insurance, one of the tactical enhancements, you also risk losing equipment.
In the Hazard Zone, it will also be possible to encounter patrol AI soldiers using Jaguar EBRC or HDT Storm.
DICE described the Hazard Zone as “a brand new, high-risk, team-based game type” and said it was quite different from the Conquest and Breakthrough modes.
Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021.
