Bayonetta 3, whose release date was shared recently, finally meets its fans this year. The production, which we saw gameplay images towards the end of last year, is one of the most anticipated games developed for the Nintendo Switch. It has also become clear that the expected game will include a censorship option for players who do not want to see some scenes in it.

Bayonetta 3 will come with censorship mode
In the video shown last week, the basics of the game, new enemies and Bayonetta’s new evil powers were introduced. It also featured a number of fan-favorite characters such as Rodin, Enzo and Luka. Following this trailer, Platinum Games also shared on social media that there is an optional censorship mode for some players. Thanks to this mode, called “Naive Angel”, some obscene scenes in the game will be replaced by more subtle ones.
As you can see in the video shared in the Twitter post, this new mode prevents Bayonetta from being seen by covering certain parts of her body during some attacks. The developer states that it developed this “so that we can worry about what’s happening on the screen while we’re playing your game in the living room.” It must have happened to you, during the most obscene scene in the play, someone entered your environment and then quietly left looking at you and the screen. It’s a shame for everyone. Here we see that the Naive Angel mode is intended to prevent this from happening.
Censorship mode will be completely optional and will surely play a small role in making the game appeal to a wider audience. Bayonetta 3 will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2022.
