In a recent PlayStation Blog post, Hermen Hulst, president of PlayStation Studios, said Days Gone developer Sony Interactive Entertainment Bend Studio is working on a new open world idea.
Hulst: “The new IP is incredibly important to us. The new IP is the lifeblood of the game. But the new IP is only one aspect of our strategy. As a result, I want PlayStation Studios to be extremely daring and take risks. I want us to continue to embrace playstation’s legacy, push the boundaries of the game and create important productions. Games that probably won’t be made anywhere else…”
Hulst added: “You know Bend Studio is working on a new IP that they are very passionate about and that is exciting. With Days Gone, they develop deep open-world systems. That’s why I’m really happy for Bend Studio”
