Bethesda announced a month earlier that launcher, Bethesda.net, would close in April . Bethesda has now received detailed information and has been announced that the integration process will begin on April 27.
On April 27, detailed trading instructions will be announced. Players will still be able to use Bethesda Launcher until May 11, but bethesda suggests that the transition process be started only once.
Bethesda also said that recording files for some games should be transferred manually:
We advise our Bethesda.net initiator community to continue their gaming experience on Steam. On April 27, you’ll be able to transfer your Bethesda.net library to Steam. You’ll be able to access all the games you have on the Bethesda.net launcher for free on Steam. Your purchases will be transferred to the Steam account. Although the recording files of most games will be transferred automatically, you will have to transfer several of their files manually.
If you choose to transfer your Bethesda.net library to a Steam account, we’ll share with you how you can stream your game progress and recording files to Steam whenever possible so you can pick up where you left off. Recording files for some games will be transferred automatically, but some will need to manually copy the recording files to the Steam folder. We will soon share information on how to transfer recording files. Wolfenstein: We think that the recording files of almost all games except Youngblood will be transferable automatically or manually.
Game add-ons such as virtual money balances, DLC, and in-game views will also be automatically transferred.
It will also not be possible to transfer your account to other stores instead of Steam or to other platforms such as PlayStation or Xbox. So this integration is only between Bethesda Launcher and Steam.
Bethesda will also bring games to Steam that are not currently available on Steam. These include The Elder Scrolls Arena, The Elder Scrolls Daggerfall, Fallout 4 and Creation Kit for Skyrim Special Edition, and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
