The Marvel Cinematic Universe has evaluated hollywood’s big names in a wide variety of roles, large and small, over time. It seems that this habit will continue in the coming period. Veteran actor Bill Murray recently announced that he is working with Marvel Studios and will play the villain in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. We don’t know at this time which character Murray will bring to life. Naturally, of course, when a name like Bill Murray was included in the MCU, the question of “why” was also asked. Murray’s main factor in his choice was the opportunity to work with director Payton Reed.
“You know, I made a Marvel movie recently. I probably shouldn’t have told you this, but never mind. In any case, some people are surprised why I’m involved in such a project. But for me, it was pretty clear. I wanted to get to know the director, and I really liked him. He’s really fun, humble and offers everything you could ever ask a director to do. So I was persuaded to act as an actor in a massive comic book adaptation, even if I had nothing to do with it.” Bill Murray announced his involvement in the MCU before Marvel Studios made the big announcement. There will probably be a Ghostbusters reference/joke in the film with Murray.

- Amy Hennig’s Marvel Game Will Be Ant-Man or Fantastic Four
The third Ant-Man film will feature Bill Murray as well as The Kang, a sequel to Loki; and an important part of the MCU. Although the first two films remained in the background, they were still key to connecting events. The MCU’s view of ant-man and wasp looks a little different. Quantumania will be released on July 28, 2023.
