The development of the action role-playing adventure game Black Myth: Wukong has reportedly not gone well. The game was announced in 2020 by Chinese independent developer Game Science. In August 2020, a new gameplay trailer was released. The trailer reached over 2 million views in a few days and became one of the most anticipated games.
YouTube channel Ranton Stream Highlights said that there were problems in the development of the game, according to information obtained from a source in Game Science. Accordingly, it was reported that the game designer left the studio and had development problems in July 2021.
Sources state that there is nothing else to show for the game other than the trailers. This means that the game is far from finished yet.
On the other hand, in August 2021, Game Science released a 12-minute gameplay video for Black Myth: Wukong, a single-player action role-playing game themed (Journey to the West), recorded in real time in Unreal Engine 5 and powered by NVIDIA DLSS technology. After the trailer, not much was heard about the game.
The game will focus on Monkey King and his special abilities. In total, there will be 72 skills that can be used. The game is expected to debut in 2023.
