The Borderlands 3 Crossplay update was released as a free add-on. This update includes cross-play functionality for PC via Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, Stadia, Epic Games Store and Steam, the return of the game’s most popular seasonal game with The Revengence of Revenge of the Cartels, permanent seasonal activity migration, a new level limit increase, and more. As of today, cross-game for Borderlands 3 is available on PC via Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, Stadia and Steam, and the Epic Games Store. There’s never been a better time for you and your friends to experience the mayhem of shooting and looting together! Fans’ favourite seasonal event returns here with The Revengence of Revenge of the Cartels. Joey Ultraviolet and his gang of subordinates are back for a new round, so the friendly Saurian Maurice will once again ask you to eliminate Cartel Operators who can be found in areas of both basic game and story plugins. After sending enough of them and collecting the Hiding Coordinates from their bodies, Maurice can open a portal to the main event: a showdown at Villa Ultraviolet against Joey Ultraviolet, king of the Eridium Cartel. The event includes a new set of themed cosmetic awards, all of which are detailed on the game’s official website.
The Crossplay Update also brings endless seasonal events! You can now access all of Borderlands 3’sthemed seasonal events (Bloody Harvest, Broken Hearts Day, and Revenge of the Cartels) at any time and for as long as you want. A new option in the Main Menu allows you to choose which of these three events you want to turn on or off. All of these annual events feature their own unique themed cosmetic award sets and 1st editions. Year and 2. There are special items from year iterations, and you can now earn them at your own pace. If you’ve participated in these events before, progress in related Challenges won’t be reset, but you can instead earn seasonal event items from iconic end-of-chapter monster fights.
Speaking of events, from 7pm on June 24 to 6.59pm on July 1, the effects of all six True Trials mini-events will be active. This means that all six of the Trials end-of-chapter monsters achieve the same significant health and damage increases, all dropping two legendary items that have been identified. The chest at the end of each trial will also be filled with Legendary items!
Finally, with the Crossplay Update, Vault Hunters can take their power even further as the level limit increases by seven levels to a maximum of 72. With a maximum of 70 Skill Points to play, players have even more ways to create mayhem and create character structures that will destroy enemies like never before.
