We use the name Breath of the Wild 2 continuously for the new Zelda game, but that’s because Nintendo hasn’t released the official name of the game. Yesterday, the Nintendo broadcast also released the first gameplay footage of the game, but again it had no name, even though the video was titled “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild;’s Sequel.” That’s because the players didn’t give any clues as to what was going to happen in the game.

Bill Trinen of Nintendo Treehouse said, “The reason we keep the name is because the names Zelda are kind of important. These sub-names… they start to give you little clues about what’s going to happen.”

When we look at previous Zelda games, we see that they point to important items like Windwaker or Ocarina of Time, or themes like Breath of the Wild. So this sequel has such a name that when we hear about it, we’ll have an important knowledge of the game.

But the weird part is, sooner or later they have to reveal that name, so they won’t give you a clue? After all, the announcement of the name of the game will not be hidden until the day of release. Here’s nintendo’s interesting work 🙂

Nintendo already knew that the game would be called Breath of the Wild 2, and they didn’t mind.

After Nintendo’s announcement, celebrities in particular on Twitter turned it into a beautiful bud. Cory Barlog predicted the title of the game as “The Legend of Zelda: Let’s Get High 2gether”, while Alanah Pearce’s prediction was “2 Zelda 2 Furious”. Cliff Bleszinski said, “The Legend of MY WEAPONS NOT FALLING APART AFTER 3 HITS maybe?!” which is not wrong at all.
