Bungine has been working on a new Destiny game for mobile with NetEase, one of China’s gaming giants.
The owner of the claim, The Game Post, saw on the LinkedIn profile of one of the NetEase Games cartoonists that he was working on “a yet-to-be-announced mobile FPS game in collaboration with Bungie.” Another source who gives information about NetEase said that this new Destiny game has been in the works for more than two years.
This is not the mobile version of Destiny 1 or 2, but a completely new Destiny game.
Already last year, there was talk that Bungie might be developing a Destiny mobile game because the studio had job postings for mobile gaming. It seems that Bungie is also developing its own mobile game engine, which aims to reach players on iOS and Android mobile platforms as well.
Sony announced in January that they had pressed the button to buy Bungie . The monetary value of this acquisition is $3.6 billion.
