Activision announced the release date of Modern Warfare 2, this year’s Call of Duty game, last night. Accordingly, the game will be released for PC and consoles on October 28, 2022.
With this statement, it was not long before information about the game’s editions and pre-order bonuses leaked. According to Charlie Intel, data miners have obtained new information about the upcoming game thanks to various files added to Call of Duty Vanguard.
Accordingly, Modern Warfare 2 will come in three different editions: Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle and Vault Edition.
From the name of the Cross-Gen Edition, it seems that this is the edition that will switch between PS4-PS5 and Xbox One-Xbox Series. In this case, Standard Edition will not have such a feature.
All three editions will give PlayStation players early access to the open beta on pre-order.
The most expensive edition, Vault Edition, will have the following extras:
- Battle Pass (1 Season) + 50 Tier Skip
- Red Team Operator Pack: Ghost, Soap, Price, Farah
- FJX Cinder Weapon Vault
- 10 hours 2XP and 10 hours 2WXP
- Ghost Legacy Pack: 12 Operator Costumes & 10 Weapon Diagrams
Details of these editions will probably be officially announced by Activision soon.
