Activision announced that the total sales of the Call of Duty series exceeded 400 million units.
The first game in the series was released in 2003 and has been released every year since 2005. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it reached 17 games in the main series.
Among them, the bestseller is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019. Sales were over 30 million as of last May. Call of Duty: Black Ops with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, respectively. Both are around 26 million.
Call of Duty is third in the all-time best-selling game series rankings behind Mario, who sold 680 million, and Tetris, which sold 495 million.
The new Call of Duty game arrives this fall and returns to The Second World War.
